President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday night, February 23, 2026, hosted governors from different political parties for a Ramadan Iftar at the State House, Abuja, in what political observers have described as both a spiritual observance and a subtle demonstration of cross-party convergence at a critical moment in Nigeria’s political calendar.

The fast-breaking dinner, which began shortly after 6:30 pm following the Maghrib prayer, is the third consecutive Ramadan Iftar the President has organised for state governors since assuming office in 2023.
