The committee observed that the current box culvert design diverts stormwater toward residential areas, posing serious risks of property damage during heavy rainfall. Engineer Ojo stated any modification requires approval from the Federal Ministry of Works.
Animishaun Axis A 1.5 km stretch lacks drainage gutters. The Project Supervisor explained that gutters in this section are outside the approved contract specification. Concerns were raised about inferior materials used for gutters around Bibio toward Ojugbele Hospital. Community members alleged they were asked to pay between ₦300,000 and more before culverts could be covered. There were also reports of workers illegally selling project materials. Engineer Ojo assured that investigations would be conducted and culpable staff prosecuted.

The committee recommended larger, more durable box culverts at Oju-Ore to handle high stormwater volumes. At Iyana Papa, clearing and opening drainage channels was suggested to reduce pressure on existing culverts.
The committee requested proper reshaping and grading of gutters and road alignment linking Oyede Street ahead of the rainy season. Engineer Tope Ojo acknowledged most complaints and promised internal investigations into extortion and material quality issues. He explained that major design changes require Federal Ministry of Works approval and that some features (e.g., gutters in certain areas) are not part of the current contract scope.
