Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti has appreciated his family members, friends, legal advisers, and all for their support, after his release from police custody where he had been held for more than a week.
The afrobeat musician was released on bail from detention having met his bail conditions on Tuesday, May 22.
His lawyers, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN) and Kunle Adegoke (SAN), in a statement earlier on Tuesday, said Seun’s release was only waiting for administrative approval.
However, after his freedom, Seun took to his official Instagram page to thank his family, lawyers, and everyone, who showed him love and support during his trying time.
He wrote, “I want to say a profound thanks to everyone who showed me all this love. All my friends showed up. Thanks most especially to my beautiful wife, @chefyeidekuti.”
“Last but not least. The legal team. Uncle Femi Falana (SAN) Uncle Olumide Fisika (SAN) Uncle Kayode Adegoke (SAN) Barrister Ogunlana. Ade Ademiluyi. And everyone on the team. I owe you my freedom and my sanity. Let’s go,” he added.
