The announcement was made in a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, on Friday.
The President also announced appointments for chairpersons across 41 federal organizations, alongside key leadership positions, including a new Managing Director for the Nigerian Railway Corporation and a Director-General for the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI).
While many analysts view these appointments as patronage meant to settle political IOUs, President Tinubu however, differed, emphasizing that the roles of board chairpersons are non-executive, urging the appointees not to interfere with the management of their respective organizations but ensuring their focus remains on providing strategic guidance and oversight.
