The ‘Stop Gender-Based Violence’ seminar scheduled for October 31, 2023, in Benin City, Nigeria, is an essential event taking place as part of the third edition of the Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament (BOWFT).

The seminar, with its distinguished guests and participants, is an important platform for addressing and combating gender-based violence, raising awareness, and promoting actions to end this critical issue. The Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament (BOWFT) is currently in its third edition and it’s being held in Benin City from October 23, 2023, to November 1, 2023. The tournament’s primary goal is to highlight the efforts of the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration to end gender-based violence.

Thirteen (13) teams are participating in the 10-day pre-season tournament, which has received accreditation from FIFA, the world football governing body.
