The Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila has called on the Federal Government to address all kinds of insecurity in the country stressing that only then would many Nigerians of voting age be able to carry out their civic obligations.
The Speaker also commended security agencies in the country for working tirelessly to provide security.
He made the call while welcoming members of the Parliament back from Christmas break at National Assembly Complex, Abuja.
While reiterating the readiness of the 9th National Assembly to make quality laws for the country, Gbajabiamila also emphasized the need for government at all levels to make the protection of lives and property its priority.
He further advised Nigerians, especially politicians contesting for various political offices at the next month’s elections to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, endurance, and patience with each other.
