Namibia, one of the southern cape countries of Africa, is set to hold a presidential and parliamentary election on November 27, 2024. These upcoming elections are poised to significantly impact the nation’s political future, especially given the circumstances surrounding President Hage Geingob’s death earlier this year. Vice President Nangolo Mbumba, who assumed the presidency, has been preparing the country for this critical transition, marking a pivotal moment in Namibian politics.
Currently, Mbumba, who took over as president and serving out the remainder of Geingob’s term, which expires on March 21, 2025.

Some of the key issues that might influence the election outcome include land reform and redistribution, with candidates like Bernadus Swartbooi of the Landless People’s Movement and Job Amupanda of the Affirmative Repositioning movement advocating for change.
