The Alaghodaro Investment Summit in Edo State, Nigeria, has become a significant annual event that brings together key stakeholders, including captains of industry, policy experts, and government officials, to discuss and plan for the future of Edo State.
From conception, the primary purpose of the Alaghodaro Investment Summit is to envision a prosperous future for Edo State and discuss the sustainability of the projects and programs initiated by the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration.
The 2023 Alaghodaro Summit is the seventh edition and is scheduled to take place between Wednesday, November 8 and Sunday, November 12, 2023. It will be a five-day event.
The theme for the 2023 summit is “The Edo Story: Creating Shared Opportunities into the Future.” This theme reflects the focus on creating opportunities for the people of Edo State.
The summit will highlight the transformative programs and policies that the Obaseki-led administration has implemented in recent years. These programs are said to have had a positive impact on the well-being of Edo State residents.
The event is expected to attract prominent figures from both the private and public sectors, showcasing the collaboration between these sectors for the development of the state.
This edition of the summit will be the last one celebrated under the leadership of Governor Godwin Obaseki, indicating a transitional moment for the state’s leadership.
In a statement, the Chairperson, Local Organising Committee and Executive Secretary, Alaghodaro Economic Summit Limited/Gte, Eire Ifueko Alufohai, said the summit, which has become a symbol of the State’s vision to become a thriving economic and industrial hub will attract the crème de la crème in the nation’s private and public sectors and beyond.
She assured that this year’s edition, being the last summit that will be celebrated under the leadership of Governor Godwin Obaseki, promises to be memorable and exciting with an array of events that will leave a lasting impact on the State’s future.
According to her, “The activities lined up for this year’s summit 2023 include the Edo Women Conference scheduled for Wednesday, November 8, 2023, which will be followed by the Ancient City Tour and Cocktail on Thursday, November 9, 2023.
“On Friday, November 10, 2023, will be the main Alaghodaro Summit, Muslim Prayers, Award and Dinner, while the Governor’s Golf Tournament, Food Fair and Youth Concert will take place on Saturday, November 11, 2023. The event will end on Saturday, November 12, 2023 with Thanksgiving Service.”
