The Edo Queens FC maintained their unbeaten streak in the Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament (BOWFT) with a 2-1 victory over the Remo Stars Ladies.

The match was held at the UNIBEN Sports Complex in Benin City, the Edo State capital. Remo Stars Ladies took an early lead with a goal from Arubo Oluwaseyi in the 15th minute. Abideen Suliat of Edo Queens scored an equalizer in the 41st minute just before halftime.

In the second half, Edo Queens continued to press and were rewarded with a penalty kick, which Suliat Abideen expertly converted in the 90th minute.

Esther Moses of Edo Queens was named the Most Valuable Player of the match.

The Edo State First Lady, Mrs. Betsy Obaseki, expressed her satisfaction with the quality of play by both teams after the match.

Abideen Suliat, who scored both goals for Edo Queens, expressed confidence in her team’s ability to win the championship.

In another match on Match Day 4 at the UNIBEN Sports Complex, FC Robo of Lagos secured a 3-1 victory over Heartland Ladies FC of Owerri.
