The National Football League has announced a record seven halftime shows for its 2026 international season, with Nigerian stars Burna Boy and Ayra Starr among the artists taking the global stage.

The NFL’s biggest international schedule yet spans seven countries and four continents, with nine regular-season games outside the United States.
Burna Boy is the latest artist announced for the lineup. The Grammy-winning Nigerian singer will headline the halftime show at the NFL’s first-ever regular-season game in France on October 25, when the Pittsburgh Steelers face the New Orleans Saints at Stade de France in Paris.
The performance will also mark Burna Boy’s return to the stadium where he became the first African artist to headline a solo concert in 2025.

Another Nigerian-linked star, Ayra Starr, will headline the London game on October 11, when the Philadelphia Eagles face the Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The international entertainment schedule began in Melbourne on September 10, where the Jonas Brothers performed during the 49ers-Rams game.

Two further performances will come in Germany and Mexico. Two-time Grammy winners Cage The Elephant will headline the Munich game on November 15, while Mexican rock trio The Warning will perform during the Mexico City game on November 22.

The NFL says the record programme is part of its strategy to bring major entertainment and sporting events to international audiences.
