Chief Barrister Ojugbele Oluwaseyi Ayantola, the Ajana of Ilogbo Asowo, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constitu,ency seat in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections. The seasoned lawyer, a voice of the youths and activist, made the declaration in a widely circulated statement released on Wednesday, February 11, 2025, to DDNews Online.
Barrister Ojugbele, who previously contested for the Ogun State House of Assembly seat and was a candidate in the 2023 general election. Barrister Ojugbele, said he is stepping forward again because “the people deserve better representation one rooted in integrity, competence, compassion and generational alignment.”
Barrister Ojugbele unveiled a clear, actionable 10-point agenda for Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency if elected:
1.Youth Empowerment & Job Creation — Establish digital skills hubs, provide low-interest startup loans/grants, create a constituency youth employment desk linking residents to real opportunities.
2.Education Excellence — Renovate dilapidated schools, annual scholarship/bursary scheme for indigent students, build libraries and ICT centres in public schools.
3.Healthcare Improvement — Upgrade primary health centres, quarterly free medical outreaches, advocacy for better-equipped general hospitals.
4.Infrastructure Revolution — Aggressive lobbying for road rehabilitation, streetlights, drainage systems, clean water projects and rural electrification.
5.Security & Peace — Support community policing, youth vigilante training, collaborate with security agencies to protect lives and property.
6.Agriculture & Food Security — Provide farmers with improved seedlings/fertilizers, support farm-to-market roads, establish cooperative clusters.
7.Women Economic Empowerment — Massive skill acquisition programmes (tailoring, cosmetology, catering, POS/agency banking), micro-credit support for women groups.
8.Sports, Arts & Culture — Build and equip sports facilities, sponsor local talents, promote cultural festivals and tourism.
9.Transparency & Accountability — Ensure constituency funds are used transparently with stakeholder monitoring committees.
10.Digital & Economic Inclusion — Free Wi-Fi hotspots in markets & public spaces, innovation challenges for young developers, support for POS operators, ride-hailing drivers & e-commerce sellers.

Barrister Ojugbele concluded his declaration with a direct appeal: “I am asking every stakeholder in Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency youth, women, elders, market leaders, religious bodies, artisans, farmers to join hands with me.
