The Assistant Comptroller General of Customs (ACG), Charles Osikhena Orbih, has officially assumed his role as the new Zonal Coordinator of the Nigeria Customs Service Zone ‘A’ Headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Zonal Public Relations Officer, SC Akanineyen Edeminam, on Wednesday.

During his inaugural address, ACG Orbih highlighted the critical role of teamwork, innovation, and stakeholder engagement in achieving the Customs’ overarching policy goals, which align with the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi’s, strategic objectives of Consolidation, Collaboration, and Innovation.

ACG Orbih is a highly numerate mind and brings a wealth of experience to this position, having previously served in prominent roles, including:
• Customs Area Controller for Imo/Abia Command
• Controller at Murtala Muhammed International Airport Command
• Zonal Coordinator for Zone ‘C’
His vast leadership experience, strong analytical skills combined with specialized training from both local and international professional courses, is expected to significantly enhance the operational efficiency and performance of Zone ‘A’, the most active and strategic zone of the Nigeria Customs Service.

Orbih’s tenure promises a focus on innovation-driven policies and stronger collaboration with stakeholders to optimize customs operations within the zone.

He is a member of several professional and community associations, where he plays active role canvassing for various charitable causes and initiatives. Charly, as he is fondly called by school friends, is a proud supporter of his Alma Mata, the St. John’s College, Fugar, Etsako Central LGA in Edo State.
