The JohnMayaki.com has announced plans for the 5th edition of “Mayaki’s Roundtable with Friends in the Media” on June 14, 2024; an event which promises to be a townhall to bring together media professionals, political analysts, and stakeholders to discuss crucial issues ahead of the 2024 elections in Edo State.

The event which you don’t want to miss, is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 14, 2024, at the NUJ Press Centre in Benin City, Edo State.

The brainchild of the former Chief Press Secretary to the Edo State Governor, Mr. John Mayaki, this year’s roundtable with the theme, “Edo 2024: Party Supremacy, Competence, and the Future of Edo State,” is particularly relevant as the state approaches the 2024.

According to a statement by the organizers, JohnMayaki.com, the event builds on the historical significance of previous editions. The 3rd edition in 2016 centered on “Continuity for Consolidation” as former Governor Adams Oshiomhole concluded his second term, while the 4th edition in 2020, titled “Grubbing with Mayaki,” focused on “Issues in the Media and Society” and coincided with Nigeria’s 60th anniversary of independence.

This year’s roundtable aims to provide a critical platform for dialogue on party supremacy, governance competence, and the future trajectory of Edo State, promising in-depth discussions and insights that will shape the state’s political landscape.

The endeavor underscores Mr. Mayaki’s ongoing commitment to fostering informed discourse and promoting good governance in Edo State and beyond. Importantly, Mr. Mayaki has continued to provide valuable forum for political conversation that will put Edo State in good stead to enjoy democracy to the fullest.

This event which is promoted by JohnMayaki.com has endorsement of The Coalition for Good Governance and Economic Justice in Africa.
