Announcing the result, the Returning Officer for Ogun West, Dr. Dapo Odukoya, confirmed that the exercise was peaceful and conducted without any crisis across the district.

Speaking shortly after the announcement on Monday, Ojugbele commended the smooth conduct of the primary and described it as a milestone in the political history of Ogun West.
“First of all, we have to thank God for today’s election. It was free and fair in my ward, and from the information I gathered from other local governments and wards, the election was free and fair, with no crisis. Everything went on smoothly for the people,” he said.

“I want to assure you that, with the support of the people, I will improve upon what Senator Yayi has done in the senatorial district,” Ojugbele stated.
