Earl Dr. Osaro Onaiwu, the pioneer Director General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors forum, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the PDP Governors of Bauchi, Adamawa, Plateau, Zamfara, Enugu, and Akwa Ibom states for their victory at the Supreme Court.
The victorious governors are Senator Bala Mohammed, Hon Ahmadu Finitri, Barr. Caleb Mutfang, Dr. Dauda Lawal, Dr. Peter Mbah and Pastor Umoh Eno, respectively.
Onaiwu in a statement in Abuja on Friday January 12, 2024, highlights the significance of the Supreme Court’s ruling in affirming the electoral victories of these governors and recognizing the trust and confidence placed in them by the people.
He noted that “the Supreme Court’s ruling affirming your electoral victories as PDP Governors is an eloquent testimony to the resolute trust and confidence that the people of the States that you lead have placed in your hands as capable and pragmatic chief executives.”
“The apex court’s decision has only solidified your mandate and has also, provided you an impetus to always serve the interest of the people and deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of your respective states.”
Dr. Onaiwu praised the governors for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to the progress and development of their respective states, while also, acknowledging the challenges that lie ahead and therefore, urged the governors to prioritize the delivery of democracy dividends and work towards sustainable development initiatives.
The statement also emphasizes the dynamism and resilient spirit of the PDP, noting that the governors’ victory is an inspiration for all members to continue working towards the party’s goals.
Onaiwu expressed his unwavering support for the governors and is confident that, under their leadership, the PDP will contribute significantly to Nigeria’s progress and prosperity.
