The sketches of the incident reveal that Timileyin Ajayi, a gospel singer and TikTok motivational speaker, was arrested after being caught with Salome Adaidu’s severed head in a polythene bag. The rest of her remains were later discovered at his residence.

Security agents, acting on an intelligence tip-off, found Ajayi in an uncompleted building in Agwan Sarki, Orozo, near Abuja. His confession during interrogation revealed that he had dated Adaidu for one year and claimed that her death resulted from a heated altercation where she allegedly tried to stab him.

The incident has sparked outrage and grief, with the burial of Adaidu’s remains in Abuja symbolizing the end of a tragic chapter for her family and friends. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances of her death and Ajayi’s motives.

Paradoxically, Ajayi, who released an album titled God of the Earth in 2020, curated a public image as a gospel artist and motivational speaker. This starkly contrasts with the nature of the crime, raising concerns about the disconnect between public personas and private behavior.

Authorities are working to uncover all the details surrounding Adaidu’s death. The legal process will ensure accountability, while advocacy groups may use this case to shed light on relationship violence and the importance of early intervention.

The public and Adaidu’s loved ones are seeking justice, and the tragedy serves as a reminder of the need for vigilance, support systems, and awareness in preventing similar occurrences.
