The museum spans approximately 12,000 sq. ft (1,110 m²) and features over 40 exhibits, including Ronaldo’s 2008 Ballon d’Or, Golden Boots, FIFA Club World Cup Golden Ball, match-worn kits, boots, and interactive multimedia zones. It also includes life-size statues (his signature mid air celebration pose and his cultural salute in Saudi attire), a recreation of his childhood bedroom in Lisbon, and a replica of his YouTube studio for VIP visitors
On the launch day, fans queued for hours at the opening, waiting in line wearing Ronaldo apparel, testament to the footballer’s strong fanbase in Asia and also, his enduring global appeal. He made a personal appearance, thanking fans and emphasizing Hong Kong’s role in his global story.

“This is not just a museum,” said Tomas Froes, representative of Ronaldo’s family office. “It’s a celebration of hard work, discipline, and the pursuit of greatness. It sends a strong message for everyone to achieve their dreams.”
With over 629 million Instagram followers, Ronaldo remains the most followed individual on the planet, surpassing even the world’s most influential celebrities and leaders. His fan base stretches across the globe, with young people in Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas consistently naming him as a role model both in sport and in life.

As his club prepares for a pre-season tournament in Hong Kong next month, anticipation is building, promising another surge of CR7 fever across the region. The CR7 LIFE Museum stands not only as a shrine to football excellence but also as a unifying symbol of hope, aspiration, and global connection.
“He’s the most hardworking person out there,” said university student Henry Singh. “He’s 40 and still going strong, that’s unmatched.”

Fourteen-year-old Alvin Lai, first in the queue of over 100 early arrivals, gushed: “Cristiano Ronaldo is my idol… he’s special.”
The exhibition is part of Ronaldo’s broader museum legacy, bringing an international focus on his original Museu CR7 located in Funchal, Madeira (Portugal) since 2013, and his second personal museum (CR7 Signature Museum) which opened in Riyadh in late 2023
The CR7 LIFE Museum is a significant moment in a brand rooted in innovation, now making a strategic global expansion for Ronaldo’s legacy beyond Portugal.

Hong Kong is a perfect choice of location for the museum, with its international tourist appeal and vibrant sports culture and also, being a key business gateway to Asian markets.
Overall, this kind of initiatives outside the football pitch cements CR7 not just as an athlete, but a cultural icon and global brand.
