The Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, Senator Salisu Afolabi Shuib, has described the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) statewide electronic registration of members as a strategic move that strengthens the party and provides a credible database for verifying membership.
In a statement issued on Thursday, January 16, 2026, Senator Shuib said the e-registration exercise is designed to create a reliable profile of every member, eliminate duplication, prevent proliferation of fake members, and ensure transparency in the party’s internal processes ahead of future elections.
“The APC’s statewide e-registration is not just an administrative exercise; it is a major strength for our great party. It gives us a clean, verifiable database that accurately captures the identity of genuine members. This will help us prevent infiltration, duplication, and proliferation, while promoting accountability and unity,” Senator Shuib stated.
The lawmaker, who is also a key figure in the Ogun State chapter of the APC, commended the leadership of the party at both national and state levels for the initiative, describing it as a forward-thinking step that aligns with modern governance and digital transformation.
