Earl Dr. Osaro Onaiwu, the founding Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum, is set to contest the Edo 2024 gubernatorial primaries of the PDP. His expression of interest form has been officially picked from the party’s headquarters in Abuja.

A group called “The Solution Support Group” purchased the form on his behalf, demonstrating their commitment and support for his candidature.

In that last few months, Onaiwu has been actively leveraging his political network and engaging with various stakeholders across Edo State, sharing his vision for the prosperity of the state.

His campaign, encapsulated in the term “Solution 2024,” emphasizes his commitment to providing solutions to the longstanding issues faced by Edo state in areas such as economic policies, healthcare, education, and infrastructure.

He has pledged to establish an all-inclusive government that prioritizes the people’s welfare, expressing a desire to make a lasting impact on the development of a progressive Edo State.

Onaiwu emphasized that; “my campaign will be issue-based, focusing on policies and initiatives rather than engaging in political demagoguery or personal attacks”, saying he aims to encourage people from all social strata to embrace his vision for the state.

As the open campaigns are about to begin, some political analysts believe that Onaiwu’s entry into the race signifies hope, increased political activism, and a call to vigorously promote the Edo dream of a better future. His candidacy is seen by some as a potential turning point in the political landscape of the state.
