Over the weekend on Sunday October 20, 2024, the United States 45th President and Republican presidential flagbearer for the November 2024 elections, Donald Trump, did a comical political stunt, working at McDonald’s in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

It was an ace-campaign stop. The photo opportunity was a home run, which broke the minds of liberals and never-Trumpers everywhere.
As reporters and aides watched, an employee showed the former president how to dunk baskets of fries in oil, salt them, and put them into boxes using a scoop.
“It requires great expertise, actually, to do it right and to do it fast,” Trump said with a grin, putting away his suit jacket and wearing an apron over his shirt and tie.

To some, it was hilarious while others thought it rage seething moment seeing Trump make fries and served customers at the drive-thru. Liberals thought it made a mockery of Kamala Harris’ purported stint at the fast food giant.

The liberals questioned the move because the customers were pre-screened. But Trump got shot in July and has had other near fatal incidents.

Some media analysts were enthused by the brief culinary event, which they viewed as a mere political stunt.

In real terms of engagement, Trump never worked at McDonald’s.

We have had similar stunts in Nigeria, where frontline political personalities took such less than executive jobs for the photo ops. Former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, Adams Oshiomhole of Edo, Mrs. Aisha Buhari and comedic Senator Dino Melaye, readily comes to mind, in their own stunt styles.

So much for political stunts.
