The Junior Chamber International (JCI), Nigeria chapter has picked 30 young Nigerians for the 2025 Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) awards. These awards are given every year to young people between the ages of 18 and 40 who are doing great things in their communities and excelling in their careers.

‎The finalists were chosen from 638 people who were nominated earlier this year. A team of judges, with guidance from KPMG Nigeria helped in the selection process. With participating contestants reduced to 30, the public can now vote for their favorites and the final 10 winners will then be decided based on both public votes and judges’ scores. Voting ends on August 6, 2025.

‎The final 10 winners will be honored during the International Youth Day event scheduled for 16 August, 2025 at EKO Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

JCI President, Oluwatoyin Atanda, said the finalists are young leaders making real change in areas like business, health, education, human rights, and technology.

‎Some of these young people might also be picked for the World TOYP Awards which will take place later in the year in Tunisia.

Since the commencement of the programme about seven years ago, some notable Nigerians have received its international recognition. The revious winners include famous names like Ray Ekpu and Temie Giwa Tubosun.‎
