Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta provided positive injury updates on Bukayo Saka, Martin Ødegaard and Jurrien Timber after the Gunners took another significant step toward the Premier League title with comfortable victory over Sunderland on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the Emirate stadium.
Arteta confirmed that all three key players are making good progress in their recovery and could return to action in the coming weeks.
Fitness Updates: Bukayo Saka (hamstring issue): “Bukayo is doing really well. He’s in the final stages of his rehab. We expect him back in full training very soon and potentially available for selection within the next couple of weeks.”
Martin Ødegaard (ankle sprain): “Martin is also progressing nicely. He’s already doing some controlled ball work. We are very optimistic he’ll be back before the end of February.”
Jurrien Timber (knee recovery from long-term injury): “Jurrien is ahead of schedule. He’s been doing full sessions with the team in the last few days. We’re looking at a return in early March.”
The boss was speaking after Arsenal training for tomorrow’s match against Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium. He confirmed that the three players are making progress. Others like Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are expected to be fit for the game, and are fully ready for Sunderland.
