Award-winning filmmaker and founder of KAP Studios, Kunle Afolayan, has described the partnership between KAP Group and Netflix as one of the best things to happen to the company.

Afolayan made the statement while speaking on the Ni-dacity Podcast, where he discussed the company’s experience working with the streaming platform.

According to the filmmaker, the partnership has allowed KAP Group to concentrate more on producing quality content instead of constantly searching for funds to finance its projects.

He said the arrangement has provided the company with greater room to focus on the creative side of filmmaking, rather than dealing with the pressure of securing funding for every production.

Afolayan’s comments reflect the importance of financing and distribution partnerships to film production companies, particularly as Nigerian filmmakers continue to seek wider audiences for locally produced stories.

The filmmaker has previously worked with Netflix on projects including Anikulapo, which was released on the streaming platform.

His latest comments further highlight the role the partnership has played in KAP Group’s production activities.
