The National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Dele Kelvin Oye Esq., has mourned the passing of the first female president and 19th National President of NACCIMA, Iyalode Alaba Lawson.

In a public statement, Oye described Iyalode Lawson’s passing as indeed a significant loss for the Nigerian business community and the nation as a whole. As the first female president of NACCIMA, she made a lasting impact on the organization and set an important precedent for women in leadership roles within the business sector.

He said, her dedication to serving society and her vibrant spirit, eloquence, and motherly warmth have undoubtedly left a positive mark on the people she interacted with and the causes she supported.

Importantly, Oye noted Iyalode Lawson’s contributions to the fields of business, philanthropy, and education are commendable, and her legacy will continue to inspire and influence future generations.

The Statement reads: “It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of our beloved mother and the 19th National President of NACCIMA, Iyalode Alaba Lawson, MFR, FIoD, JP.

“As a remarkable trailblazer and the first woman to hold this position from 2017 to 2019, she dedicated her life to serving our community with her vibrant spirit, eloquent articulation, and boundless motherly warmth. Her loss will be deeply felt, but her legacy will forever inspire us.

“We extend our sincerest condolences to her family and loved ones during this difficult time. As we await updates, let us keep them in our thoughts and prayers. May the Almighty provide them comfort and solace in their grief and grant them the strength needed to bear this loss.”
