The three suspects arrested in connection with the alleged murder of former Ogun State Television broadcaster, Kitan Oyesiku, and her security guard, Pelumi Adetayo, were arraigned before Magistrate Court 3, Isabo, Abeokuta, on Monday.
The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the development, stating that the suspects were to be arraigned at 11:30 a.m.

The spokesperson for the command, Babaseyi Oluseyi, said in a statement that the suspects would face charges related to the killings that occurred at Oyesiku’s residence in Abeokuta.
The arrests were made less than two weeks after the police announced a breakthrough in the case.
Residents had raised the alarm over suspicious activities at the deceased’s residence, prompting detectives to visit the scene. They discovered signs of forced entry and disturbance. Adetayo’s body was found at the security post, while Oyesiku’s corpse was discovered inside the house. Her Lexus RX330 vehicle, initially reported missing, was later recovered.

The Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, had earlier revealed that investigators made a breakthrough after recovering a note inside the stolen vehicle, which was subjected to forensic analysis.
The prime suspect, Sodeinde Olajuwon Philip, 22, was arrested on June 24 at a construction site in Ibara, Abeokuta, where he worked as a labourer.
Two other suspects, Sakirudeen Abdulraheem Ayoola, 27, a security guard, and Sobu Obafunsho, 36, a bricklayer, were also arrested.

Philip allegedly confessed to coordinating the attack due to grievances with Oyesiku while he worked as her security guard.
The police recovered exhibits including a broken hammer, a cutlass, a plank, and a black pen from locations linked to the suspects.
The command had assured that investigations would continue to ensure all those connected with the crime are prosecuted.

The case has generated widespread concern in Ogun State, with many calling for justice for the victims.
Proceedings at the Magistrate Court are ongoing.
