Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been appointed Head of Youth Mobilisation for the re-election campaign of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, ahead of the 2026 governorship election. Davido announced the development on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday, expressing enthusiasm about his new political role in his uncle’s campaign structure.
“I have been appointed by the Governor of Osun State… as Head of Youth Mobilisation of Campaign Council. We look forward to a smooth campaign and your re-election,” he wrote.
Governor Adeleke, who is seeking a second term, is expected to face voters in the August 2026 governorship poll in Osun State, as political activities continue to intensify across the state.
